Once you have exported your Lightroom and Smart Previews files, you'll need to send a link to us via a file-sharing service, such as Dropbox, Google Drive, or WeTransfer.
First, go ahead and select the folder that only contains your Lightroom Catalog + Smart Previews. (If you're sending Lightroom 11 or Lightroom 12 files, please include the .lrcat-data file as well.)
Right-click the folder containing your files, and select "Compress Items" if you're on a Mac/Apple. If you're using Windows you'd right-click the folder and select 'Send to' and then select 'Compressed (zipped) folder'.
Take the newly created zipped folder and upload it to either Dropbox, WeTransfer (wetransfer.com), or Google Drive.
Dropbox:
Within Dropbox (browser view), hover over the uploaded zip file and you’ll see a chain link on the right side. Click to Copy the Link.
Once clicked, you'll get the message that the Link has been copied and you can paste that into your Order form.
Google Drive:
Once your Zip file is uploaded to Google Drive, right-click or click on the chain link and select Get Link.
Then, be sure to change to "Anyone with the Link" and click Copy Link.
Once you click Copy Link, you should see a notification that the Link is Copied.
You can now paste the link into the field, via your order.
WeTransfer:
You can also send files via WeTransfer, as long as the zip file is under 2gb. WeTransfer is a free service but they only keep your zip file for 1 week.
To use their service, go to https://wetransfer.com/
Click on Add your files and select the zip file you want to send to Photographer's Edit
Then, click on the ellipses icon at the bottom left.
Click on the option "Get transfer link" and then "Get a link".
Once you click Get a link, the upload process will start.
Once your file has uploaded, you'll then have a link.
Click Copy link and paste it in your order.
Please keep in mind that after uploading a link with your files to your order, you will still see the option to 'Upload Images' on your Account Dashboard. This does not mean that we didn't receive your previous upload, so do not fret! We leave the option to 'Upload Images' open until your order is marked as 'Order Started' - this is just in the event that you need to reupload a link for any reason!
